I’ve had the hawksmoor cookbook for sometime and have just not managed to get around to cooking anything from it. Sourcing the ingredients is half the problem, apathy at cooking for one is the other. But today I had a friend semi-open to new food adventures coming around for dinner so I embarked on making this oxtail, Ox cheek and bone marrow pie. As it was another friend at the last minute was also free, a not-so-open-to-weird-food-friend. We were going to keep the body parts a secret, but that didn’t last long … she would have also had to have been blind to miss the whacking great bit of bone sticking out the top!
God it was delicious.
