Korean War Veteran Memorial

By the time we finished at the Lincoln memorial we were done for but knew that we had to endure a near 2 mile walk back to the car. I could feel each ball-joint in my hips aching, so we start the slow trundle back, there’s no other choice, there is no public transport – I’ve said this before, DC sort it out!

Then we stumble on this memorial for the Korean veterans not a stones throw away from the Lincoln Memorial.  It’s poignant, haunting – life sized sculptures of soldiers wading through the undergrowth, looking around scared searching for the enemy.
